A Sunroom

Status: Completed

The improvements to the existing character weatherboard house focused on remodeling an existing low ceilinged enclosed sleepout into a light filled sunroom and study that relates to a private garden. Bespoke joinery bestows a specific function to areas within, freeing up floor space.

"Arcke's understanding of my needs, patience with my indecision and accessibility throughout the project was wonderful. The transformation here is amazing and I am so thrilled with the result."

Variable control of privacy, light and security is achieved through a series of movable slatted timber screens. The horizontal distribution complements the lineal nature of existing weatherboards.

The new adjacent fence form is a playful and functional threshold between public and private areas. Within it’s depth and articulation it houses a potting shed, bin storage, bench seat and gatehouse.
